The Social Developmental Neuroscience Laboratory (SDN Lab; PI: Dr. Johanna Jarcho) at Temple University is looking for a post-doctoral fellow.
The SDN Lab focuses on mechanisms that shape social cognition across development, and that increase risk for and expression of deficits in social processes linked to psychopathology. This position is funded by an NIMH grant that uses state-of-the-art neuroimaging techniques to characterize developmental changes in affective and memory systems that contribute to symptoms of adolescent social anxiety. In addition to work funded on the grant, there will be opportunities to pursue other independent research projects.
Ideal candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or other-related fields. Preference will be given to individuals with expertise in conducting longitudinal data analyses, neuroimaging analyses (particularly fMRI), and writing empirical manuscripts.
To apply, email a CV, cover letter highlighting your skills and interest in this position, writing sample, and a list of three references to johanna.jarcho@temple.edu and katie.dow@temple.edu.
The starting date is flexible (but could be as soon as April 2025). A two-year commitment is requested. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
