SAS Student Committee Application is Now Open

Applications are now open for the 2025-2026 Society for Affective Science Student Committee (SASSC) leadership positions! Those who wish to run should submit their application by Sunday, May 11th, at 11:59 pm (your local time).

The election will open on Tuesday, May 14th, and remain open through May 20th. Successful candidates will be notified by email on or before May 27th.

The term of service begins July 1st. This is a July 2025-July 2026 term (one-year term); those elected are expected to have attended the 2025 conference and also be willing/able to attend the 2026 conference (For international member-at-large positions, this requirement is more flexible). Applicants must be dues-paying trainee members of SAS at the time they submit their application. Click here for information on SAS membership.

We are accepting applications for the following positions:

We have six Member-at-large positions available (two each):

  • Undergraduate/Post-Baccalaureate
  • Graduate (e.g., graduate students currently based at institutions in the US)
  • International (e.g., graduate students currently based at institutions outside the US)

Individuals filling these at-large positions are responsible for representing and advancing the interests of trainees within SAS. Responsibilities include attending SASSC monthly committee meetings and the annual conference.
