Research Specialist: Center for Healthy Minds, University of Wisconsin-Madison

The University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Center for Healthy Minds (CHM) is a leader in conducting science – in and out of the lab – on how to nurture emotional well-being in daily life, considering the complexity of our human experience.

We are looking for a research specialist to help run a large, national mobile mental health study. The ADAPT study aims to explore how to tailor support and well-being practices delivered through a meditation-based smartphone in a data-driven and timely manner, optimizing long-term well-being.

In this role, you will coordinate the daily activities of conducting the research study, including participant recruitment and enrollment as well as ongoing data collection and quality assurance. A significant portion of your time will be spent interacting with participants over the phone and email. For instance, you may be asked to help someone figure out how to download an app on their phone or discuss instructions for collection of various types of data. In all cases, we want someone who is flexible, compassionate, enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds, and can think on their feet.

This role will primarily work on the ADAPT study, and there may be future opportunities to work on other studies across the Center (some examples can be found at centerhealthyminds.org/science/research<https://jobs.wisc.edu/jobs/centerhealthyminds.org/science/research>). We encourage you to apply to this role if you enjoy working collaboratively with team members and the community in order to contribute to a positive working and learning environment.

Supervisor: Dr. Simon Goldberg
Closing Date: March 4th, 2025
