Applications are open for one new co-organizer for the Emotion Regulation Pre-conference at the annual meeting for the Society for Affective Science (SAS). Eligibility: Preference is given to early- and mid-career scholars who have already received their PhD. Description and Terms:
- This is a three-year term, with the position beginning in July 2025 and ending July 2028.
- The 3-person co-organizing committee decides on the structure, delivery, and content of the pre-conference program, sends invitations to speakers, and solicits and evaluates submissions for open call programming. In-person attendance at the pre-conference in 2026, 2027, and 2028 is expected. A pre-conference fee waiver is most likely available if needed.
- This is a volunteer position and a professional service to the field — there is no compensation.
Deadline: Apply by June 30, 2025. Applicants will be notified of our decision by July 15.

Selection Criteria:
- Research interests and expertise that align with the pre-conference theme.
- We are especially interested in receiving applications from scholars who would diversify the research and methodological expertise of the co-organizing committee.
- Attendance at previous Emotion Regulation pre-conferences and regular SAS attendance is preferred.
