Conference Announcement: Embracing Interdisciplinary Discovery in the Heart of New Orleans
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming conference for the Society for Affective Science, set in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana from March 1 to 3, 2024! This gathering promises to be a celebration of interdisciplinary exploration and discovery. In addition to the main conference events, pre-conferences will center around positive emotion, facial affect and emotion recognition, as well as emotion regulation. As you plan for your trip, please keep in mind the following important dates:
- February 6: Rates increase to regular rates
- February 7: Conference hotel block released and preferred room rates end (New Orleans Marriott)
- March 1: Conference begins

SAS Networking & Methods Events
As in prior years, SAS 2024 will feature several special events, including unique opportunities to network and learn about methods in affective science.
At the network event (Saturday March 2), attendees will have a small-group meeting with an established member of the SAS community who will share their experiences and perspectives. The networking event is geared toward undergraduate, post-bac, graduate, and postdoc attendees.
At the methods roundtable event (Sunday March 3), attendees will hear from a SAS expert on a topic of interest and engage each other with ideas and questions. The methods event is intended for all levels of familiarity and skill.
Registration for both events is required and only open until the end of early bird registration. Attendees will be informed about event assignments by February 26. For more information, click this link!
